QuickMats 3™ by John Hartman
Add Your Photo to a QuickMat
Click on the thumbnail below to download an empty QuickMat file. You can
add your own photographic image to this QuickMat to see how you can enhance
your work and make it more valuable (and therefore more expensive) to your
client.
Directions:
- Open the empty QuickMat file and a photo of your choice. Go to Image > Image
Size and resize your photo to no smaller than 4.25" high
by no smaller than 6" wide @ 300 ppi.
- Click the Move tool (or hit the V key). Holding the Shift key down,
click on your photo and drag and drop it over the mat.
- In the Layers palette, drag your photo layer (called Layer 1) to
the layer below the Mat layer. The photo now goes 'behind' the mat.
- With the Move tool still selected, you can reposition the image
to fine-tune the placement in the mat (or you can 'nudge' it by hitting
one of the arrow keys).
- Once the image is positioned where you want it, go to Layer > Flatten
Image. Then go to File > Save As and rename your
new file. Your image can be saved in JPEG (#10), TIFF or PSD format
and printed on your inkjet or sent to your photo lab. (Mat is 8x10
size.)

NOTE: This file
has already been colored and textured for you to use as a sample. With
QuickMats 3 you have complete flexibility to color and texture both
the Outside Mat and Inside Liner exactly as you wish. |
