QuickProofs 2™ was produced by John Hartman in cooperation with Ron Nichols Digital Solutions, one of the industry's foremost software designers. The latest version works as a handy palette that can be kept open and handy on your desktop. Although the inside workings of QuickProofs 2™ are complex, the user interface is reduced to just two steps; clicking the QuickProofs 2 palette and selecting the folder of client files you want your pages made from.
After that, QuickProofs 2™ does the rest of the work for you—it places the images on each page and adds a soft drop shadow and beveled edge to the photos. Depending on how you have set up your preferences, QuickProofs 2™ adds a textured background, an embossed translucent copyright symbol, the file name, an area for your client to flag and/ or make notes about each image, and your studio logo. (You can also choose to not show any of the above features.) Each page is sent to the printer in order, so that in just a few minutes you’ll have tray full of gorgeous proof pages.
In the meantime, you have been accomplishing more because of all the work you didn’t have to do setting up, collating and printing each individual page of proofs. The time savings alone you’ll enjoy will pay for the program very quickly! And because it’s so easy to use, you can delegate your proofing tasks to someone else—the ultimate time saver!
QuickProofs 2™ pages can be printed on any printer that
accepts your Photoshop files, including inkjet, wax, laser, or thermal devices.
You can also save and upload the pages to your photofinishing lab for printing
on traditional photographic
paper.
